Cooked Rice
The word ‘baaṭ’ means boiled rice, and is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘भक्त’. This word refers to rice which is ready to eat, whereas ‘sawl’ refers to rice which is raw and uncooked.

- Biran baaṭ – Fried rice.
